Beans, Some Like It Hot!

SUBMITTED BY: SKAMP

Hot, hot, hot! Simmering in coconut milk, ginger, garlic, and a melange of spices, these beans don't skimp on the heat. So if you want a milder version, be sure to adjust the seasonings.

Two-Bean Rice Salad

I've had many people tell me how much they like this salad. It's a great dish to take to a potluck dinner.

Southwest Stew

Our whole family loves foods spiced with picante sauce, so I developed this recipe! This dish is very quick and easy to make, and it also reheats well. Sometimes I add cooked, sliced potatoes to the stew for a little variety, too.

Quick Turkey-Bean Soup

This recipe calls for canned beans, so cooking time is minimal. I make soup mild and allow guests to add as much 'heat' as they want with hot pepper sauce.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Submitted by: MIGHTYPURDUE22
This is the chili recipe the gang eats at Purdue Boilermaker football games. I always prep and cook the chili the night before and then reheat the next day. This is a combination of many different tomato-based chili recipes. Good luck and enjoy.

Spicy Bean Salsa

Submitted by: Susan Navarrete
Also known as 'cowboy caviar', this twist on traditional salsa is enlivened with black beans, corn and black-eyed peas.

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Submitted by: Sue Case
I am continuously asked to bring this dip for parties and family get-togethers. People gather around the platter until it's gone. Five layers of Mexican-inspired delights are topped by a layer of vegetables, then smothered in cheese and garnished with black olives. The vegetables may be varied according to taste.
