Condensed Milk Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed on Aug. 27, 2008 by hbertels
This was great! I don't know why some people were saying that it wasn't thick enough. It was so thick for me, I could hardly get it off of my hands. I never knew it could be so easy to have a super-fudgey frosting, but this is it. I added a little cinnamon to the recipe for a spice cake.

Easy Chili I

Reviewed on Aug. 27, 2008 by goingsolarnow
Thanks for the great recipe. I made this last month on my solar cooker and my kids loved it so much we have made it again. We are batch cooking it (about 3 times your basic recipe) and followed the recipe except for half of the jalapenos the first time. The second time I used dry beans (about twice the recipe to stretch it) and double the chili powder to make up for flavor lost in the canned beans. This coming weekend we will make another large batch for family on the solar cooker again at our family picnic. Thanks again, I love chili, but this has had us eating it at least once a week without growing tired.

Blackened Green Beans

Reviewed on Aug. 26, 2008 by Shelby
I grew up eating this in the summer. It's so fun to sit out on the porch snapping beans. Anyway, you don't have to measure with this-just add to your liking. It's trial and error to figure out how much your family will like but you really can't go wrong with these ingredients. We never make that many beans but just a good sized pot with a whole onion, a couple garlic cloves and about 1/2 pack of sliced bacon and lots of s&p. Even if you forget the garlic it's always a great summer dish! (You may find yourself eating it out of the pot when finished.)
